Here’s a classic Kay bass from the first year of production. The serial number is #454 which makes this from 1937 according to the Roger Stowers site. This one is in fair to good condition with some chipping around the edges. There was a cleanly executed scroll graft and neck splice performed by Robertson’s at some point. The fingerboard is original and appears to be Brazilian rosewood.
The bass has an Ullsperger Massiv endpin installed and also comes with a basic pickup, Glasser French bow, quiver and basic bag.
