2023 Rubner “Walther” bass

Another fully carved  instrument from the Rubner workshop. This has an antiqued red finish and looks great with a bit of  maple flame wood figure in the back and sides. Some dimensions:

• rib depth at upper block 7″
• length of back 44 1/2″
• string length 41 1/4″

This is a good bass  with a punchy pizz. sound and nice projection with the bow.   We installed a new East African ebony fingerboard and the setup feels great.  Complete with with New Harmony carbon endpin, adjustable Despiau bridge and Pirastro Evah Pirazzi weich strings.
