New neck for a Kay bass

We installed a new Engelhardt neck on a nice Kay bass from the Forties. You can get the new neck without the dovetail precut which allows you to get a tighter fit in the old mortise. In this case we increased the neck angle and overstand for better neck projection.

Nice repair on my bass, Vince. It’s neat to see pics of it while the work was being done. One comment – this fine lady is a ’55, according to serial number research. Thanks again for the great work. It’s a better bass now than before you got your hands on it.
